Service Description

Introducing music and dance in a fun and creative way for young children to enjoy. A co-parent class with Mommy & daughter 3-6years old. Together we introduce our little ones with creative movement, music, culture and dance basics. Young children begin their first dance steps through their attachment to their parents or primary caregivers. This environment of safety and support allows parents the chance to learn about their children in a new way—by observing and interpreting their movements. In addition to being a lot of fun, parent-child dance classes are great preparation for very young children to eventually participate in a creative dance class on their own, learning to take direction from a new, adult teacher while staying true to their own ideas. Taere Tiai's relationship-based curriculum allows very young children and their parents to practice the dance of oneness and separateness in developmentally appropriate and engaging ways. To prepare for class: * Moms & me's: Wear a black shirt, have a pareú or borrow a loaner from us :) * Arrive a few minutes early to fill out a quick questionnaire. * Be open-minded and have fun!
